I am an EMT and see the result from drinking and driving time after time and I dread the day I respond to someone i know. Hearing Leo speak at the last trauma conference made me realize how much needs to be done to combat this issue. Sadly Montana is ranked #3 in most deaths due to alcohol. If people could see the outcome and the impact it has on the community, the hardships of the families, and the tragic endings I believe people would second guess thier actions. A LIFE LOST IS NOT WORTH THE ACTION! And sadly, we see it too much. Lets keep this movement going. It is the best thing to come out of a tragedy! Nothing but praises for Mariah's Challenge

After having a family member in an with a drunk driver, I feel strongly toward this movement and I believe this impact will help create a better world for the youth of tomorrow

Our family has been hit hard (literally)by impaired (drunk) drivers. My Mom's sister and her 2 year old son were killed in 1951 by a drunk driver, my husband lost his first wife and a six year old son to a drunk driver in 1969 and finally, we lost our 3o year old daughter in 2001 when the underage driver (driving impaired) lost control of the car they were riding in and both were ejected. She left behind 3 young children, a sister and two brothers. I had to come home and tell my grandchildren that their mom would not be coming to take them home. At the time of her death, I was the Sheriff and Coroner of Mineral County, AND I was one of the EMTs who responded to the scene with our ambulance. I was active on our DUI Task Force during my law enforcement career and advocated for stiffer DUI laws. What you are doing and have done has taken a lot of courage and I commend you for that. You have my support and I hope sincerely hope that the teens AND adults in Mineral County will accept the challenge. God bless you and keep you safe. Sincerely, Anita (I heard you speak at Spring Fever in Missoula today.)

I think it would be amazing to be the first graduating class to graduate with no MIP's. To me that would be the most outrageous, far-out thing that could ever happen among teens today. Even though ive already accepted, Im gonna accept it again!!!
