I love what your doing for your daughter
Hi, I've had the pleasure to see your speech twice now at the Junior Police Leadership Academy in Helena and would just like to thank you for your outstanding work both times as you have to feel the pain every time you guys speak. You really are the heroes in your quests to save lives. Thank you and I will definitely try to push my friends away from the constant pressure to drink and do drugs.
I had Leo come speak to me last week at my JPLA camp in Helena and I was very touched and motivated to join the group.
My goal is to stop teenagers risking their lives from underage drinking. I want to be an example of somebody who doesn't have to drink to have fun in life. Also, to be that role model for others that don't want to drink. When other teens pressure others to drink, I want to be somebody that they can come to if they don't want to. I think underage drinking kills way too many precious lives and I want to do the best I can to stop it.
I accept the challenge of not drinking and driving.
I am terribly sorry about the loss of Mariah. I saw the story on Dr. Phil, and I think it is despicable that someone would think it is okay to 1) drink underage and 2) drive after drinking. The law needs to be tougher on these people who are careless and do these acts. It's not fair to innocent people that these people get to be out on the streets and not care about harming others. I am an 18 year old about to go to college and I have never taken a sip of alcohol. I want to be an advocate against underage drinking and drinking and driving. Your story touched me and I am glad you all are honoring Mariah with this challenge. Again I am sorry for her loss and hope many people see this challenge and take it seriously.
I pledge to not drink and drive.
I vow to not drink until of age, and to never drink and drive, in order to prevent incidents like this one.
